about_enHyun Kyu Choi is a practitioner of oriental medicine. He is a NCCAOM board-certified and licensed acupuncturist in the Commonwealth of Virginia. He graduated from Liaoning P.I.T.C.T.T.T. Chinese Medicine AE. He was a faculty member of the Korean Military Academy for over ten years where he taught acupuncture and Hapkido. In addition to his Fairfax, Virginia practice, he was a professor at the Virginia University of Oriental Medicine.

Hyun Kyu Choi is a second-generation oriental medicine practitioner. He grew up at his father’s knee learning treatments for a wide range of diseases and conditions. He is now teaching his son his medical theories and treatment skills. His son will be the third-generation oriental medicine practitioner in this Christian family.
With over thirty years of experience, and a lifetime of training, he has developed unique insights and knowledge. He developed Myung-Mun Acupuncture technique and combined magnetic acupuncture, which known as needle-less acupuncture. To share his skills and experience, he founded the MyungMun Research Group of Korean Medicine.
His special interests include pain relief, internal medicine, atopic dermatitis, allergies, sinusitis, diabetes, hypertension, cancer care, thyroid diseases, and gynecological disorders. He also specializes in auto accident related injuries.

Hyun Kyu Choi is also a Grandmaster of martial arts. He learned Korean tradition martial arts of Taekwondo and Hapkido at Yong In University and also teaches martial arts classes.

He has received certificates of excellence in sports leadership from the President of the United States in 1997, 2007, and 2014.

Andy I. Kim, Myung Mun Vancouber

Andy I. Kim is a board certified (CTCMA, NCCAOM) and registered acupuncturist in B.C., Canada and State of Virginia, U.S.A. He is the founder of NFA clinic of Oriental Medicine. Since beginning his practice, many people suffering from chronic illness and pain have found help and relief through safe and effective natural medicine. He earned his Masters degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine at Bastyr University in Seattle, after completing Masters and Bachelors degree in Engineering at Hanyang University in Seoul and dedicating his life to research and development of polymer for medical application integrating western science with Oriental Medicine for several years leading to seven patents awarded. During his journey to the Oriental Medicine, he could have a chance to follow Grandmaster Hyunkyu Choi as an apprentice for two years, who is the founder of Myungmun Research Group of Korean Medicine. Upon completing apprenticeship at 2005 in Korea, Andy learned of the practice of acupuncture and herbs with hands-on training from Master Choi. This opens the door to choosing a path that better reflected his philosophy about healing and acceptable practice in medicine. Andy is currently researching magnetic acupuncture as a complementary tool to enhance the effectiveness of traditional acupuncture therapy not only for the pain management but also for internal problems including indigestion, allergies, skin problem, atopic dermatitis, sinusitis, rhinitis and gynecological problems including PMS and menopausal symptoms. Andy I. Kim is forthright, focused and purposeful.

Chan Young Lee, Myung Mun Los Angeles

After receiving Bachelor’s degree in polymer engineering from Inha University, Lee went to become a businessman. In 2005, He joined the 6th MyungMun Korean medicine academy under Doctor Hyun Kyu Choi, beginning to study Korean medicine.
From Essence of Korean medicine; acupuncture and pulse diagnosis has led him to enlightenment of Korean medicine universe.
Since he has graduated from South Baylo University in Los Angeles, CA and have obtained CA acupuncture license.
He has been deeply into studying and showing fast and efficient effects on all atopic dermatitis, allergic rhinitis, various of allergies, pains, incurable diseases.
Furthermore, in all MyungMun acupuncture clinics, we use needles as treatment for above symptoms. However for people who are afraid of needle treatments or kids and seniors, we use magnets and have been acknowledged by such patients.
