Herbal Medicine

Chinese herbs can act as a complement to acupuncture treatments or as a primary form of therapy. Chinese/Oriental herbs can help change unhealthy imbalances and functions, thus decreasing symptoms, increasing energy, improving digestion, improving sleep, and, when applicable, regulating menstrual cycles.

The Chinese pharmacopoeia lists over 6000 different medicinal substances, 600 of which are in common use today. As the oldest practiced system of herbal medicine in the world, the healing properties of these medicinal substances have been studied and used extensively. Anywhere from 2 to 40 medicinal substances are combined in a formula to facilitate the unique therapeutic goals of each patient.
